Jim designed and built this beautiful blanket chest for a customer in 2002 as part of a large bedroom suite. It's owners have since then began to downsize their living space and this is the remaining piece. 

  It has aged gracefully in an adult only, no pets, non-smoking home and is as perfect as it was the day Jim finished it.

  The chest is made with Solid Cherry, Birdseye Maple, and Australian Lacewood. It features hand cut dovetail joinery, mortise and tenon, custom strap hinges, a key lock for the lid, and even a hidden drawer lined in soft leather, which spans the entire length of the chest. The interior of the chest is lined in aromatic Red Cedar.
