New England Joinery is located in East Monmouth, at 641 route 135. We are open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. If you are planning a special trip to see us you may want to give a call ahead to make sure we haven't run to the store, or out picking up lumber as we sometimes do. It is not necessary to make a formal appointment, just wise practice in general.

Jim's workshop expanded In September of 2007 we built an addition off the little workshop to give us a more functional workspace. It is filled with natural light, adding plenty of new windows and even a huge skylight in the back. We would like to thank all those who helped with the construction. Ben Lower, Jim's son, came up from Gloucester to add his strength and expertise. Rick Fulton from TLC construction here in Litchfield also jumped in on the project. We had our "tractor guy' Bob, here bringing in gravel and making the site level. Our friends from Pine Tree Fence, Wayde and Donna Rankin came over with their machine to dig the footings. It was a real community effort, and we appreciate everyone's hard work and time to help us get this new shop up! Since then we have been working very comfortably in our new space. The old pot belly stove chugs away, keeping us toasty warm and the glue drying! With all the windows and skylight, we hardly ever need to turn the lights on! This is truly an artist's dream studio! We still have more work to do to finish the room off, but for now it is functioning just fine.
